Explore history through our annual Halloween cemetery tours Date to be determined The third annual Here Lies Harrisburg Tour is sure to scare up some fun for all ages. This nighttime event in Harrisburg Cemetery and East Harrisburg Cemetery will include cemetery tours, stories, food, music and more. It will respectfully celebrate the lives of those who contributed to Harrisburg's history and are now burried in these park-like cemeteries. During the event you can wander the grounds of Harrisburg’s two premier historic graveyards where interesting people — from bureaucrats to bank robbers — are laid to rest. Candle-lit walkways will show the way. There will be guided and self-guided scavenger hunt tours to reveal the stories behind Harrisburg’s “silent majority.” Join us for a stroll through the centuries-old tombstones and to hear the stories of the famous, and not so famous. From food giants to reformers, scoundrels to soldiers, they are waiting to tell their side of the story from the “other side.” Date: To be determined Special midnight guided tours of Harrisburg Cemetery: Two tours will be held each night, beginning at 11 p.m. and 12 a.m. Reservations required; space is limited.
