We help Harrisburg face its many preservation challenges

Historic Harrisburg Association monitors many challenging preservation and development issues facing Harrisburg. Over the years we have had success when local residents become involved and make their voices heard. HHA is here to support local efforts. We cannot do it without your support. Your participation will help us continue the perservation movement.

We currently have preservation alerts on the following:

• New federal courthouse location (GSA wants a site different than city and state officials)
  
  
• Second Street at Locust (The Dunlap Building, 210 N. Front; proposed demolition for 18-story office/parking building)
  
  
• Front Street 2900 block (three architecturally unique mansions; possible demolition for condos)
  
  
• Front Street at Locust (The Hickok House/former VFW, 201 N. Front; possible demolition for PHFA office building expansion)
